What Changes the Price
Wall type. Drywall over studs is simple. Plaster, tile, brick and concrete need different fasteners and take longer.
Weight. A shelf of books or a large mirror needs studs or heavy anchors. A small frame doesn’t.
Number of windows. Blinds and curtain rods go faster once the first is measured and the rest match.
Height and layout. Tall windows and long walls need ladders and more careful layout.
Anchors in Plain English
Hollow-wall anchors hold light items. Anything heavy belongs in a stud, or in a masonry anchor for brick or concrete. A mirror’s weight should be known before hanging. I’ll tell you what a wall can hold before I drill.
