Holiday Light Installation in Martinez & Contra Costa County
Hanging lights means ladders, cold hands and a weekend lost to tangled cords. I hang holiday lights along rooflines, eaves and gutters, wrap trees and shrubs, set up timers, and take everything down after the season. Bring your own lights or I can pick them up for you. Book early: the best installation windows fill up before Thanksgiving.
What's Included
- Roofline, eave and gutter-edge light hanging with clips
- Porch, railing, column and garage trim lights
- Tree and shrub wrapping within safe reach
- Pathway and yard lights
- Timer, plug and extension cord setup
- Testing and replacing dead bulbs and strings
- Takedown and storage after the season
- Optional: sourcing and buying lights for you
Planning your display
Measure the roofline before buying lights, because running short on the last strand is the most common mistake. I'll measure and check outlet locations, timers and total wattage before buying lights, so you don't blow a breaker on a cold night.
Clips, not staples
Plastic clips designed for gutters and shingles hold lights without nails, don't damage the trim, and make takedown quick. I use them on every install.
Pricing
I price each job by the size of the work, access, and materials, and I quote before I start. Single-visit jobs like this stay well under California's $1,000 limit for unlicensed handyman work. Send a few photos and a short description for a quote.
When I'll Refer You to a Licensed Pro
I work from a ladder and don't walk steep or high roofs. Anything that needs new outdoor outlets or electrical work goes to a licensed electrician. Very tall or steep houses may be better served by a company with roof-safe equipment.
Bay Bilt is not a licensed contractor. Work is limited to jobs under $1,000 (labor and materials). Insured.
