Interior Painting & Touch-Ups in Martinez & Contra Costa County
Not every paint job needs a painting crew. After a drywall patch, a TV mount removal, or a move-out, a few hours of careful painting makes the room look finished. I handle small interior paint jobs: touch-ups, accent walls, a single room, doors and trim. Whole-house and exterior painting stays with licensed painting contractors, and I'll tell you when a project is bigger than a handyman job.
What's Included
- Touch-ups after drywall repairs, nail holes and anchor removal
- Accent walls
- Single bedrooms, bathrooms, closets and hallways
- Interior doors, trim, baseboards and casings
- Ceiling water-stain cover with stain-blocking primer
- Paint color matching from a chip or sample
- Patching and caulking before painting
- Furniture covering, taping and cleanup
Why touch-ups often look worse than expected
A fresh patch of paint on a faded wall can show as a lighter or glossier spot. Matching sheen helps, and painting a whole wall edge to edge usually hides the transition. It costs a bit more than a spot patch and looks far better.
Accent walls
One painted wall can change a room without the cost of repainting everything. Choose a wall without many outlets and windows, avoid the wall with the most light bouncing off it if you're going dark, and tell me the sheen you want before I buy paint.
Pricing
I price each job by the size of the work, access, and materials, and I quote before I start. Single-visit jobs like this stay well under California's $1,000 limit for unlicensed handyman work. Send a few photos and a short description for a quote.
When I'll Refer You to a Licensed Pro
Whole-house interior painting, exterior painting, and any project where labor and materials come to more than $1,000 fall outside what an unlicensed handyman can take in California. Homes built before 1978 may contain lead paint, and work that disturbs painted surfaces there falls under federal lead-safe rules that require a certified firm, so I refer those jobs out.
Bay Bilt is not a licensed contractor. Work is limited to jobs under $1,000 (labor and materials). Insured.
